Sir in part (b) of the question, when x is + or – 4 then y can take values from 1 to -1. I understood this, but is when we put y = 0 in the first equation it doesn’t satisfy it. Did you make an error in posting the correct solution or did I understand wrong ?

Vaibhav, the points which satisfy are on the boundary – the others are in the interior. We need those too!
